TARGET 6.3
Improve Water Quality, Wastewater Treatment and Safe Reuse
TARGET 6.4
Increase Water-Use Efficiency and Ensure Freshwater Supplies
Project Background
Some industrial parks charge unreasonable sewage treatment fees, and manufacturers charge low water volume rates, which affects the balance between revenue and costs. In addition, insufficient audit manpower and loss of professional talents have led to poor supervision, and some manufacturers have weak environmental awareness and do not pay attention to sewage treatment compliance operations.

Solution Highlights
This case helped Guishan Industrial Park install mobile flow monitoring equipment for manufacturers with large water usage and high risks, and provided a unified management platform and spatiotemporal information cloud system. Through cloud technology and cross-platform integration, it is possible to monitor the water usage of manufacturers in real time, significantly improving management and maintenance efficiency.
Overcoming challenges
The site needs to actively communicate with the manufacturer and urge them to normalize the process. At the same time, power and transmission problems must also be solved immediately on site. After achieving the expected results, the successful experience should be promoted to other plants to ensure continuous improvement.

Results and Benefits
After completing the monitoring, we first compared the data with the embedded flow meter built by the manufacturer to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the data, and made necessary adjustments to optimize the operation of the monitoring equipment.
Through system analysis, the water volume charging rate has increased significantly compared with the standard of the same period, indicating that the new monitoring system has achieved good results in accurately calculating the water consumption of manufacturers and improving the charging efficiency. We adopt a rolling adjustment strategy to dynamically optimize the charging mechanism and monitoring system according to the needs of different manufacturers to further improve management efficiency. So far, we have successfully completed the cases of twelve manufacturers, proving the wide applicability and technical feasibility of the system.
